Issue description
Upon drinking an invisibility potion the character model begins to fade out but snaps back to full opacity and the effect does not seem to work as NPCs will still behave as though they can see me.
Steps to reproduce this issue
I'm not sure if anything I had done triggered this error as I simply tried to use an invisibility potion after many hours of play and noticed it wasn't behaving. I've tried unequipping everything and it still doesn't work.

Could you please provide some more information about the problem?

1) Which version of AL are you running? You can find that in the main menu, under Arx Fatalis logo.

2) Does the issue occur everywhere or just specific areas?

3) If you can reproduce it in one of your saved games, having the file could help us identify the cause. You need an account for uploading, or you can just put it somewhere else and I'll attach it to the report if it works.

Latest snapshot version, oddly enough thsi seemed to resolve after fidning an invisibility ring and equipping it. Even going back to earlier saves makes the invisibility potion work.

Hello,

Regrettably, I've run into this issue as well. The problem is the same as described in the original report: the effect of an invisibility potion only lasts about a second before the player character returns to normal. Unfortunately, equipping a ring of invisibility did not fix the issue (for reference, I spawned one in using the console and raised my stats with the MAX cheat to identify it). I tested a few different locations, in and out of stealth, and it occurred in every area.

The bug was present on the following versions: 1.2-dev-2020-04-02 1.2-dev-2016-10-26 1.1.2 1.1 1.0.3 1.0.2

It was not present on these versions: 1.0.1 1.0

Here are the 3 saves I tested: https://files.catbox.moe/aobk4w.7z

This has been fixed in the latest development snapshot by adding a special case for this entity to the engine. In the future that fix should be changed to be a script patch instead.

The issue was updated with the following change(s):
  • This issue has been closed
  • The status has been updated, from New to Fixed.
  • The resolution has been updated, from Not determined to POSTPONED.
  • This issue's progression has been updated to 100 percent completed.
