Issue description
I visited Dwarf's level 8 which has sign "Magic is not allowed here". Understandable. I left level 8 but I still cannot cast spells.
Steps to reproduce this issue
Visit level 8. Beat monster. Leave level 8 via portal or stairs, doesn't matter. Magic no longer works. Can't cast spells.

We'll need more information on the issue. I've personally gone through the entirety of the game a few weeks ago and didn't get this problem.

What is the AL version? Can you attach a save file where this happens? Attaching arx.log file could also help.

I think the problem is that I travelled to level 8 too early. I am playing this game for the 1st time and I was searching for clues to get to Akba temple. So I was going deeper and deeper (before I even talked to Erzog), reached level 8, beat monster, left level 8 and couldn't cast spells after that on any level.

Then I found out about tavern's password and went to Akba temple, and at some point there spells started working again. Now I can cast spells again.

It shouldn't happen either way. I'll ask again, do you have a save file after the beast, or at least before?

Sorry, I use F5 to quick save a lot so the save was rewritten. I should've thought about that. I guess you can close this ticket if it's not reproducible. Anyway, I will attach my latest save just in case.

I have just tried to go to Level 8 directly and couldn't reproduce this. Magic starts working as soon as you pass the "no magic" sign. The only way I could do this was by passwalling through a wall to bypass it. Must be a rare issue or requires some specific conditions to occur.

I went to your save again and there doesn't seem to be any way to get into the dwarf area. The kitchen tunnel is caved in and the door to the foundry is locked and you don't have a key. If you killed the beast, how did you get out?
