Issue description
If you have an item that boost your stats (e.g. Hero ring/Oliver ring or Bless) it doesn't affect the following stats:

  • Manual skill
  • Ranged skill
  • Attack (e.g. u have 12 str before the boost, you apply the boost you have 13 str then you should get +1 to attack)
  • Magic Resist (Intel +1 -> MR boost)
  • Poison Resist (Constituion +1 -> PR +3)
  • AC (same mechanism than attack)

I joined a saved game, you have 4 spare points and the Oliver ring is just in front of you, so you can try to reproduce it.
Steps to reproduce this issue
Nothing entered.

* Manual skill
* Ranged skill

Object knowledge and projectile have already been fixed for 1.0.3 ( Bug report 302 - Skill levels do not reflect changes to abilities ). I'll look into the others when I get home, but from the code it looks like you're right.
