This seems to be caused by a bug that caused broken save games (fixed in https://github.com/lubosz/ArxFatalis/commit/4df091f9dee2b39cbc3c1b5441bf8a63c2c02854).

To fix any old save games that crash pull master and then run $ ./savetool fix Save/Save0000/Gsave.sav where Save/Save0000/Gsave.sav is the path to the broken save file.

Reopen of the crash still happens after that.
